A conversation between Won Hye sunim and Vladimir Volrab

Won Hye sunim is a zen monk originally from the Czech Republic. In this conversation with Vladimir Volrab, the WCCM National Coordinator of the Czech Republic, they discuss spirituality, solitude and community in this time of crisis. They are both long time friends and started to meditate together, more than twenty years ago.

He comments on the potential opportunity of meditation during these times of self-isolation:

Who are already practicing meditation, I think do have the tools to to deepen their practice. I’m afraid for people who have not yet built up a steady meditation practice it may prove a little difficult to start now. For some people of course it may be a good impulse, good impetus, to to look inside. But I fear for others it may be a little difficult. So for people who are beginning to build up their meditation practice I definitely recommend connecting with an experienced practitioner, connecting with a group…
