A Contemplative Path Through the Crisis /

Going through life changes: A conversation with Julie Fenton

In this interview Laurence Freeman asks Julie Fenton, a committed life-long meditator, to share, from her own experience, how meditation has helped her through life changes with the loss of a loved one, moving home, leaving children behind, etc… and how it has helped her walk through these changes that inevitably occur as you grow older.

“Meditation has been incredibly important in my life. You can start at any age and I strongly believe when I had my groups I was never concerned people would drop out, if they learn to meditate they have a path to God, they can touch into at any point in their lives, or new experience like moving. A lot of that is very hard to deal with. If you’re able to build for yourself a strong spiritual base, it’s something you can return on a daily basis to give you support.”
