This is a new series of three talks by Stefan Reynolds
Stefan Reynolds, is a contemplative scholar and Oblate of the WCCM. In continuation from his series on Julian of Norwich Stefan continues to introduce wisdom from the mystical tradition relevant for our time. This time he looks at the ‘Cloud of Unknowing’ a book written at the same time as Julian’s ‘Showings’. Both were written at a time of uncertainty. He reflects on the wisdom ‘The Cloud’ can offer us at this time. This is part of an ongoing series which shows how the lives and teachings of the mystics transmit the timeless wisdom we all may have lost and need to recover.
The Cloud of Unknowing is a classic text on Christian Meditation. These three talks by Stefan unpack his book written in the fourteenth century for solitaries at a time of great change and upheaval. He shows its great relevance for the uncertainties of today. A book which shows how to live into the unknown with trust and with generous love.
